Works are underway to install a playspace, picnic area and exercise equipment – which will be a great complement to the reserve's sporting facilities. It will be a place the whole community can enjoy, whether it's for a leisurely walk or a game of softball. These works are scheduled for completion in June 2020. This project is supported by the Victorian Government. Cr Leigh Johnson 0484 240 972 @ LeighJ@hume.vic.gov.au I would like to congratulate Karen Garrard on her nomination for Coach of the Year in Victorian Sport Awards. As well as coaching Sunbury Swimming Club since the early 2000s, Karen is also the instructor for the Swim Dream Believe – a swimming program for people with disabilities. Council is proud to support this Swim Dream Believe in 2020 through our Community Grants program. Cr Jack Medcraft 0484 611 902 @ JackM@hume.vic.gov.au A new pavilion has been delivered for Bulla Village Tennis Club at Bulla Recreation Reserve. I am pleased to say that it will improve accessibility and provide the club with modern amenities. This includes male and female changerooms as well as a bar and commercial kitchen. I look forward to seeing the community enjoying these great facilities for sport and social gatherings. This project was funded by the Victorian Government.
