Do not place loose items in the bin. Emptied fortnightly | Recycled Emptied weekly | Goes to landfill Emptied fortnightly | Composted RECYCLING ORGANICS Place items loosely in your recycling bin. Do not place recycled items in bags. Steel and aluminium cans (including pots and pans and aerosol cans) General household rubbish, nappies, polystyrene and pet poo Plastic bags, soft plastic packets and food wrappers Broken crockery, window glass, mirrors and light globes Glass bottles and jars Paper and cardboard Milk and juice cartons Plastic bottles and containers Fruit and vegetable scraps Small branches and twigs – maximum branch thickness is 10cm Grass clippings Leaves, garden prunings and weeds Place bins out before 6am on collection day. Collections may start earlier on days of extreme heat. If you want to find out when your bins are collected go to hume.vic.gov.au/binday or call 9205 2200. If you live in a court, place your bins at the yellow dots. This assists us in safely collecting your bins. Leave 60cm between bins and other objects (an arm's length). 60cm X Place items loosely in your organics bin. This is an optional service. Call Council to obtain an organics bin.
